No 'DisasterChef' here, poppet, only GFDF Self-Saucing Choc Pudd of epic yummy nom

Susie, Susie, Susie.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Where did you go so wrong?!
I could have conniptions at the price tag of $35 per kilo steak -WTF??? where do you shop, King Midas the freakin' butcher, babe ? - but I shall reserve my shock at your self-saucing chocolate pudding failure.
Good, Lordy, gal, what the hell were you doing to bungle that one, reading Kelley's blog for more quotes giggles AGAIN instead of concentrating on the innards of your oven?
Lovely, pet, sweetie - here's one I converted into gluten and dairy free.
And it totally rocks the dessert tray.
Please feel free to take notes, Susie, darl.
Photobucket

  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 corn flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 dessert spoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Bi Carb of Soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 extra dessertspoon of sugar and one of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup boiling water.
Sieve flours together, adding sugar, whisked egg, oil and cocoa powder.
Thoroughly mix in soy milk, Bi Carb and baking powder until you have a chocolatey delicious smooth batter (no, you cannot lick the spoon at this stage).
Scrape into a greased pudding dish (casserole dish works well) smooth the top.
(No, no bowl lickage yet, either)
Sprinkle the extra sugar and cocoa powder evenly over the top, then slowly (carefully!!!) pour the boiled water over the back of a spoon onto the cake mix.
Place in moderate oven for approx. 20-30 mins.
Now you can lick the bowl!

Yay for an awesome mum and her Boo

My blog friend Kelley shared awesome news just now.
Not that the dickwads at her work passed her over for a position she could do in her sleep (oh, Karma's gonna bite them something savage) but that her Boo is six days post-nappy.
I haven't actually met Kelley - she's wisely chosen to not contact the bajillion scary, creepy weird interwebs people who throw themselves upon her blog - but when I read her news I had to share it immediately with the hubby and my boy.
