No 'DisasterChef' here, poppet, only GFDF Self-Saucing Choc Pudd of epic yummy nom

Susie, Susie, Susie.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Where did you go so wrong?!
I could have conniptions at the price tag of $35 per kilo steak -WTF??? where do you shop, King Midas the freakin' butcher, babe ? - but I shall reserve my shock at your self-saucing chocolate pudding failure.
Good, Lordy, gal, what the hell were you doing to bungle that one, reading Kelley's blog for more quotes giggles AGAIN instead of concentrating on the innards of your oven?
Lovely, pet, sweetie - here's one I converted into gluten and dairy free.
And it totally rocks the dessert tray.
Please feel free to take notes, Susie, darl.

  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 corn flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 dessert spoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Bi Carb of Soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 extra dessertspoon of sugar and one of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup boiling water.
Sieve flours together, adding sugar, whisked egg, oil and cocoa powder.
Thoroughly mix in soy milk, Bi Carb and baking powder until you have a chocolatey delicious smooth batter (no, you cannot lick the spoon at this stage).
Scrape into a greased pudding dish (casserole dish works well) smooth the top.
(No, no bowl lickage yet, either)
Sprinkle the extra sugar and cocoa powder evenly over the top, then slowly (carefully!!!) pour the boiled water over the back of a spoon onto the cake mix.
Place in moderate oven for approx. 20-30 mins.
Now you can lick the bowl!

There IS a certain danger in reading Kelley's blog and trying to do ANYTHING else at the same time.

Her blog should come with a warning - "Do not read while cooking or having sex."

*nods sagely*
I've often found I've burnt my buns when attempting to engage in sex..err, cooking, I meant cooking while reading Kelley's blog.

I'm always careful to not have any food or drink nearby while reading Kelley's blog.

I LOVE chocolate self-saucing pudding. Lucky me I don't need to adjust recipes since I don't need to use gluten free options.
